The annual Temple Independent School District (TISD) 8th Grade Career Fair offers an incredible opportunity for local youth to learn about the career options available to them in a range of industries. In addition to class demonstrations and interactions with community business partners, the Career Fair helps students find ways to earn direct-to-work certifications and college credits while still in high school.
McLane Intelligent Solutions is proud to be one of those community business partners. Members of the McLane team were on hand to speak with students interested in the field of Information Technology, answering questions about what we do, the types of job opportunities available within the IT industry, and how they can get started on a path that will lead them to an exciting and rewarding career.
More than 500 students participated in this year’s three-day event, and had the chance to speak with representatives from not just McLane, but ten other great area businesses. We’re so grateful to have been able to meet so many amazing young people and can’t wait to see where their futures take them.
